What do authors do after a book release?

Other than drinking champagne, of course.

A Heart in Percival was released on March 20 on Amazon, but I’m still working on getting it published on Ingram, so that indie bookstores and libraries who don’t like to buy on Amazon can get it there. (I’m currently waiting for them to send a digital proof of my latest format updates.) Otherwise, I think everything is done with that book aside from ongoing publicity.

I’m more than halfway through what I’m tentatively calling Together in Percival, book 3 of the Percival Stories trilogy. And it is planned as a trilogy. There might be a short story here and there (I have one in mind about what happens when Macrina and Gil are very old and start to wonder if they can keep living on their own in Nyssa) but I don’t have any other books planned in the series.

I’m not ruling it out, mind you, if I happen to get clobbered with a great idea. But it’s not in the plans.

I do plan to keep writing, and I plan to stay more or less in the cozy genre. I’m looking forward to getting started on the next series, which I expect to be a lot of fun, and which may straddle the fine line between SF and fantasy. I have ideas jotted down, main characters and a setting that you could say I’ve been waiting my whole life to write, but I’m not allowed to work on it until I send Together on Percival out for beta and editing. Can’t wait!
